Tulip Festival

Our Nana Weimer has come to visit us for the Easter weekend. Today we decided to take Nana to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn Oregon. It is one of my favorite things to do in the spring, especially because my favorite flowers are tulips. It was very muddy, rainy and cold, but the flowers were beautiful and the kids had such a good time.

Spring Break

This week has been the girls spring break and I have planned a fun adventure for each day. We have gone to beach, movies, wonderland and Pietros just to name a few activities. We let the girls pick what they wanted to do for a couple of days and of course it involved going to the Great Wolf Lodge. So we spent a couple of days at the water park (not my favorite thing to do) but the girls loved it...

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkin patch

Once again we made our annual trip to the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch w/ our family and Grandma and Grandpa Cummings. We also brought little cousin Madden, because his mother (Monica) just had little baby Stella! It was cold, but luckily there was no rain. The girls posed for many pictures, rode the hayride to the patch and picked out pumpkins. We all had a fun time together laughing, eating and yes taking more pictures...

Spring Break - Going to the Lodge...

This year for spring break the girls wanted to go to the Great Wolf Lodge in Washington. If you have seen the commercials on tv I am sure that you have that lovely catchy tune playing in your head right now. The girls sang it all the way while we were driving to the lodge! Anyways the lodge is now their favorite place in the world! We all had fun swimming and playing at the lodge and in the waterpark.

Ask Shawn Why The Girls Are Learning To Ski & Not To Snow Board...

We took the girls up to Mt. Hood Timberline to ski. It was a beautiful sunny day on the mountain! Maddy is now ready to ski the slopes, but Emma is still sticking to the bunny hill. Maddy now rides the lift and flies down the hill all by herself. This was Emma's first time skiing and we were kind of worried that she would be scared and wouldn't last very long, but she proved us wrong... She loves skiing and is a natural just like her dad. As for Lauren and I, we just watched and visited the lodge while Shawn and the girls had their fun. Maybe next year I will actually be able to board.
